We welcome pitches that help readers think more clearly about an ordinary choice, routine, or piece of information. A strong proposal is specific, original, and useful without relying on specialist jargon or unsupported claims.
What we welcome
Propose an essay or explanatory piece about attention, everyday decisions, habits, information, or reflection. Good pitches start with a clear question, show why it matters in ordinary life, and offer a distinct angle rather than a broad topic alone.
What to include
Briefly describe the central idea, the points you would cover, the intended reader, and any sources or examples the piece would depend on. Tell us whether the proposal has appeared elsewhere. Please do not send confidential or personal information that is not needed to assess the pitch.
How to send a proposal
Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A proposal is not a promise of publication; we will consider whether it fits the subject and approach of Everyday Insights.
